The Fulbright U.S. Student Program provides grants for individually designed Study/Research projects or for English Teaching Assistant Programs for 9-12 months in a participating country outside the U.S.

During their grants, Fulbrighters meet, work, live with, and learn from the people of the host country, sharing daily experiences. The program facilitates cultural exchange, allowing the grantee to gain an appreciation of others’ viewpoints and beliefs, the way they do things, and the way they think. Through thoughtfully designed project activities, research, and artistic practice, Fulbrighters have meaningful engagement in the community and promote mutual understanding.

The RISD Careers team provide in-depth support for the development of the project narrative and portfolio, as well as navigating the complex application process. Applicants applying through RISD benefit from the team’s expertise, guidance, feedback, and encouragement.

To learn more about the grant, please visit the U.S. Student Fulbright Program website as well as the RISD Fulbright Resource website for details on the application process.
